I live in Ellijay, just over the mountain. Where did you have your surgery? I had mine at Atlanta Medical with Dr Hobson. Do you attend any local support groups?

I had my surgery at Floyd Medical Center in Rome by Dr. Ryland Scott. He is great! He does a support group the first Monday of each month. Last week was the first time I went. It was pretty informative. They had a representative from Bariatric Advantage there who gave away tote bags & lots & lots of samples of their products. After that Dr. Scott had Q & A

Neat, I have gone to Dr. Smith group in Marietta, it is usually a pretty good group. I think it is on the second Sat. and on the third Tues and Thursday.
I have not been there since my surgery, Jan 24. I have lost 36 lbs and feel great. Have not had any problems to speak of. How about you?

I only had my surgery on Feb. 18th; & so far the only problems I have had are the first week (hell week as they say), it was really bad for me. Nausea like I've never experienced in my life! I was very emotional too & did not want to eat anything. But the Saturday after surgery, it was like somebody turned on a light & I immediately got to feeling better & have been good since. I still struggle to get all of my protein in, but all in all I think I'm doing great. I went to see Dr. Scott last week (2 1/2 weeks post-op) & had lost 32 lbs. I was so shocked (& happy)!

Wow thats great. Are you getting much exercise, I remember my first two weeks all I wanted to do was sleep and sleep some more. Now I have much more energy. I use carb count down mik with a scoop of choclate protien and non flavored protien, sometimes I add some yougurt or fruit.
That gives me over 50 grams of protien in one drink. the rest I get from Meat or cottage cheese ect...

I have to admit, I have been slacking in the exercise department, I've got to do better! Good for you & your weight loss as well. Which protein do you use? I've used Unjury, but it's still difficult for me to get it down! Nice talking to you, I've gotta go get my son to beddy-bye. Best wishes to you on your journey as well to everyone else!

I use On whey double choclate protien and unflavored unjury with the carb count down milk. I like it because it does not have a sweet taste just a choclate one, I can not handle anything sweet tasting yet. I have the isopure 40 gram water but it tastes like cool aide to me and I also have some of the 42 gr tubie things that tast just as sweet so they are all on hold right now. The carb count down milk really makes the difference. it tastes like real milk they also make a chocplate milk.
