Default So what is VSG?

I have to credit Hyacinth for pointing me to You Tube to find this video. Like her, I spent a lot of time looking through video blogs and such, and stumbled upon this one which is very informative.

If you are trying to decide what procedure is right for you, You really should take the time to view this one:

YouTube - VSG Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy

I believe some insurance co.s will now pay for VSG, although Im not certain, since I was self-pay. I know that the complication rate is much lower with VSG than with Gastric Bypass, and statistically very close in effectiveness.

I hope you find this informative.

Some insurance will indeed pay for the sleeve, sadly most will not.

I LOVE my sleeve. I am 65 years old, and am down 117.5 pounds in 7.5 months with it.

Im a bit more than half way there with 4 months behind me.
