No Aviator my hubby believes I got myself into this mess so I have to deal with it.
Even after saying that he is the best husband for me.When the chips are down I couldn't wish for anyone better beside me.
I saw my doctor yesterday and he assures me I won't need help once I am discharged from hospital. That was a relief after reading some threads on the forums. He said to stock up on the fluids that I will need and that's about it.
I am getting very excited.

I will be on my first business trip since the VSG procedure, but will have my laptop with me. Please let us know how it goes. You'll be fine and on the loser's bench before you know it. Being nervous is normal.

Thank you Aviator.
Does this mean you won't have to worry about the seatbelt extender on the plane? Hope so.
Of all the embarrassing times I have had for any reason,my inflight ones are the most memorable. Not being able to put the little table down was always humiliating but-once on a flight home a flight hostess asked me if I wanted to move to an empty row of seats with my children so we could stretch out. Before I could answer someone else jumped in and asked if their family could also be accommodated in the same way.The hostess loudly explained to them that she had to ask the very obese first. As everyone turned to stare at me I felt that I would never eat again.I was so embarrassed for my children and so ashamed of myself.Naturally I did not accept the offer as I was too ashamed of my image to stand up and change seats.
Yes I really hope you never have to ask for a seat-belt extender ever again!

Yes, what a perfect Kodak moment in my mind - I have flown a couple of times since my surgery, and the last time, this past December, was the BEST. I pulled that seat belt snug, and it had this lonnnggg tail. It was such a great moment. And then, yes, the tray table, always a horror for me previously. Now, lots of space between me and the opened table. A great feeling!
It's all so exciting!

The trip this coming Friday will be my first "overnight" business trip since surgery. I did a same day "up-and-back" to Tulsa OK about 10 days ago. It was on one of those little Embrar Regional Jets. It was a minor WOW moment for me because I did not need the belt extender for the first time in a while.
Regarding the embarrassing moment you mentioned, that flight attendaant should have had her noggin thumped. But think about this: in a year you will NEVER HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN, because you will be thin! Just visualize yourself like Claire, thin, and with lots of "tail" on that seat belt. Cool huh?

You are not wrong there Aviator.Today I went shopping and couldn't stop looking at "thin" women my age and what they were wearing.I realised that most of them were wearing REALLY boring clothes.I guess clothes selection is not a big issue with those that are more able to control their size.I am going to buy the swishest "thin" clothes I can afford and I will love every single piece!!
The biggest difference now is that this time I know this attempt to lose weight WILL work!
Take a look yourself at how dull a lot of thin people look in their clothes-see if you feel the same as I did today. We are young/going to be young again-this time I will flaunt my body rather than try and hide in the background.URR

Vicki, you are right! Most people wear the most boring of clothes!!! And, of course, when I was 130 lbs heavier I did, too. Now, however, if I don't feel GREAT in something, I don't wear it. It's no longer "do I look thin in this?" (a joke, of course, since I was so fat). The thought process now is "do I feel GREAT in this?" A great print, a neat cut, wonderful colors, etc.
I love sequins, beads, fringes - all the things that made me look ridiculous before. I dress youthfully, but no one has ever implied that I dress too youthfully. I don't try to look like a teenager, but my jeans are very hip, literally!
Clothes are great fun now, and I no longer want to have pajama days.
And by the way, some of my greatest GREAT clothes come from the Hospice Boutique resale shop!!!!
