Default Am I doing this right?

I had my band done on June 15, 2009. I have lost a total of 11lbs, but I'm not sure if that is good or not. For the past 3 days I stayed the same, (I'm only in phase II, so I added the benefiber to my water), after the water took effect I reweighed myself and lost 1lb. It's now been 2 days (benefiber is back) and it hasn't kicked in yet. I gained just under 1lb this morning. My husband and I are conserned. Is this ok, is it usual? I cried when I hung up with my husband, and now I'm considering if I did the right thing by going to phase II. Maybe I should have stayed on clear liquids a little longer?

Any advise??? Please

Thanks Stacy

Follow the diet the doctor gave you. If you were told to move to stage two, then that's exactly what you should have done. Eleven pounds in ten days sounds great to me. I had a gastric bypass, not the band, but my doctor told me initially to expect a weight loss of about five pounds per week. Did your doctor tell you how quickly you should expect to lose? Another thing you have to remember with the band is that you haven't had a fill yet, so you probably don't have much restriction yet. The main reason you've lost weight is probably just because you're on a limited diet right now.

ahhh, 1 pound is nothing.. you can fluctuate multiple pounds all day long.. Don't check your weight every day, you'll drive yourself CRAZY!

Don't worry too much about the weight right now. It's early. It's true - you really don't have restriction yet because you haven't had a fill. Your body is adjusting to the band. Definitely follow what the doctor said to do. When I was banded I didn't start losing weight until after my first fill. So don't worry.
