Smile How long did it take for you to ...

Hello,

I just attended my GB Seminar last Tuesday. I have an appointment with my Regular Doctor next Friday. I have paperwork describing what the Lap doctor needs in the referral letter. I'm hoping to get everything done and into my GB Doctor and on to my First Consultation by the first of the year. They are that backed up.

I have a couple questions for all you with the Lap band.

1) How much did you weigh when you started?

2) How much had you lost by 6 week fill?

3) How much had you lost at 3 months?

4) How much had you lost at six months?

5) How much had you lost after a year?

6) How long did it take you to your goal weight?

I know that weight loss is slower but I'm just wondering on an average how much people are losing. I know it depends on how closely you follow your diet ,exercise and support groups.

Thank you all...You are all inspirations!

I had the bypass, not the band, but in general the numbers that people give you might not be of much help to you because everyone is different. In general, people who do the band lose less and/or lose at a slower rate than bypass patients. A lot of it has to do with how much you started with and how much you change your behaviors post-op. Good luck and don't give up!
