Hi Everyone

I live in Ventura County and the one main doctor here, Dr. Billy, doesn't accept my insurance so my out of pocket would be $5,000. I'd like to find a doctor semi close to do the surgery but I am having a difficult time finding one online...there are some at USC and another in Newport Beach that look good...don't want to go that far, but will if I have to.

Any advice on good docs would be greatly appreciated...

This is for lapband surgery btw....

I used Dr Paya at Northridge. I also know he works at north hills too. There is another Dr in Burbank who works at St. Joes..I will get you his name...I wont even come close to spelling it right, right now!

What insurence do you have, if you dont mind me asking?

Not sure about approval yet...might have to wait the 6 mos although lots of notes in my file and co morbidities...so will see..

I called my insurance company since I got all the drs. to do all their teststo make sure I was in good health. All X-rays were done, lab work. Seminars and groups support meetings were going to and then at the last minute 1 May UCLA was not going to be a net provider with blue cross/blue shield. My heart and Mentally I was devistated. but I got a name of a doctor in Burbank it is Quilici Phillippe (818) 848-8311. I also got the same sad news from Dr. Billy, I was pissed off and told my insurance they might as well take him off since he really doesn't accept just the insurance money. He also wants an extended 5K dollars out of pocket. Now I also was given Cedar Sani Hospital and USC; do you have a doctors name for USC? thanks Gina

Does Dr Quilici, not except your insurence? My DH had him, and has done very well. (He has the RNY in Jan) I had Dr Paya for the band...

I was told by my Ins. that Dr. Quilici does excepr my Ins. and I go see him May 12 at 1200. He wants copies of all my tests that I already completed and we will go from their. I also have an appointment on Jun2 at USC to go see a Sr. Cook, and right Now I just received a call from Cottage hospital and they are going to mail me thier questionaire paper work and then give me an appointment. All of these are Insurance provided so I hope to hear from one of them, by the way I also have an appointment with Cedar Sania Bariactric Surgeon but I would need to go look at my calendar in my room. I will go to the first one and if he say he will do it I won't go any further, if not I will go down the list. I just don't want any more problems or have to retake tests I have done, I don't mind doing new ones....but I guess I am desperate.
