Default Almost A Year Since My Wife's Complications...

When Melissa got off the ventilator a year ago she asked me not to go ahead with my surgery. I was so shocked by everything that happened I canceled my appointment. I'm happy to say that my wife is doing good since her stomach leak almost a year ago. She has a hernia right now that she's getting repaired and a tummy tuck on July 14th. I just got a three month extention on my approval and I'm planning on going ahead with my surgery. In the past year I've had a nerve root block for a hernated disk in my back, gone on high blood pressure medication, and lipator, not to mention problems with my prostate at 50 years old.... The hospital tells me
there have not been any problems since my wife's leak a year ago. I'm still nervous, but I have to look at the big picture, if I can't lose the weight on my own, I need a tool that will help me!

Thanks for letting me bend your ear!

Jeff

I am sure your fears are greater seeing the risks first hand. Just remember that the hospital and doctor have a years more worth of experience under their belts and you see the light that it does work when used wisely. I wish you the best of luck and remember lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place. You will be great. How does your wife feel now about you getting the surgery??

did the surgeons not have very much experience.or was just a random mishap
because that is one of my worst fears is having something go wrong in the operating room.my surgeon has done over 2300 surgerys and only had one death and no other major problems.and the one death was two week after surgery and the guy wasn`t taking his meds afterward and devopled a blood cloth in his leg.

Default Almost A Year Since My Wife's Complications...

Melissa is just worried that I'll have problems. Her doctor had not done that many surgeries, the Gastric Bypass program was fairly new at the time. I'm going to the same doctor. I have an appointment on 6-26-06, to set a surgery date. I feel the risks are worth it! I have heart burn all the time, and hear that the surgery will help.

Thanks for listening.
