Janina, sometimes I think things are made more complicated just to see if we'll stick with it. I can see why you are frustrated. I would be too. I just think you have to believe that it will happen when it is supposed to happen. Hope things get a bit easier for you.

Find a new surgeon. If they are this unenthusiastic about getting you into the program and getting your surgery date set, what is the rest of the programgoing to be like? My surgeon was totally on my side. They scheduled everything and moved it along as quickly as possible. They wanted me to begin my new journey as soon as possible and have been supporting me totally since day one.

The fact that you repeatedly refer to the office staff as "girls" suggests that you are not as respectful of these working women as you might be. Respect is a two way street. If you condescend to the staff, they are not going to give you the best service.

This has been the same for every doctor I've worked for. I understand that in other parts of the country, this may be offensive, but I haven't met anyone here that's complained.
As a side note: Because I am, in fact, very familiar with the stresses of working in a doctor's office, I have made a point to treat the staff as individuals. I know as much about their wls journey as they do mine. I thought I had a great rapport with them until Wednesday.

I stand corrected. Obviously, your attitude is friendly and considerate.
Gotta say, though, that my mind reels at the usage of "girls."
