Default What in the.....

Okay, here is the thing....I can not seem to break that 200 mark. I get right there and then I gain 5-7 pounds and then I get right there and the same 5 evil pounds show up again. Don't get me wrong, I am super pleased with my progress thus far and I have went from a size 22-24 to a size 14-16 which is awesome because I just went shopping at Lerner's New York (which I love). So, its not me being crazy but, Could this possibly be the end of my weight loss? Am I just going to be 200 pounds for the rest of my life? I'm wiggin' out about this! Do you guys have any tips that might help me?

Default Shake things up!

I did the same thing around the time that I hit a size fourteen. It's like your body says "okay I can handle what she's doing staying this size." Now, first of all everyone hits these. Second of all. Change things around a bit. Add a workout everyother day. Take an extra long walk on the weekends. Drink like water's the best things in the world. Before you know it....you'll be shopping again. I can now squeeze into a size eight. You'll do it too...just don't start thinking you can't cause you've done so much.

Kick it up a notch..I'll do the same I've been sitting at 161 for a while now.

Thumbs up Crazy but true

Hi,

I have gained weight twice since surgery...5-7 lbs range...both times I INCREASED my intake of food and the weight dropped and then some.

That worked for me....If we don't eat enough our bodies HOLD onto everything we do feed it.

You are doing great.

I did the same thing at 200, 180 and now 170. I normally level out for a month or two and then I'll drop 5lbs in about 2 weeks. I have noticed when I get stuck like that I still lose inches but the stupid scale does not move. After the month of being stuck I try to change up as much as I can with workingout and eating. Just my thoughts.

I totally understand. I have not taken my measurments lately but I have noticed that my clothes are fitting differently and I can wear things that I couldn't before. I guess I'm just hung up on the numbers. I'm just programed that way. I'm my own worst enemy!

Thanks for posting this April!!! I am stuck a just above 200 (202), and just want to enter ONEderland (my first goal). Well, it ain't happening!!!! I started with a trainer at my gym this past Tuesday (yes I am currently crippled), so I know my inches will move...now I also want the scale to move I am training three times a week, and will be walking or doing the eliptical for an additional 2-3 days per week, so the workouts are good - perhaps I just need to increase the food for a couple of days? Sheesh..whoda thunk it?! Hang in there girl - lets break into onderland together!!!!

I am going to the beach this week (I'm leaving tonight) so hopefully with all of the walking and activity I'll have a little suprise from the scale when I return home.

First, take a deep breath and relax! We all go through it at the 6-9 month mark. I noticed that when I stopped focusing on the numbers, the weight seem to come off faster.

This is a different spin on the topic. I took FOREVER to get into the 200's. The thing is that it was such a huge thing in my head. My weight gain was a way of protecting myself physically ( history of sexual abuse) so I truly belive that I held on to the 300's until I felt safe enough to let it go. I actually gave myself permission to go below the 300 and told myself that we were an adult now and perfectly capable of take care of ourself. I did alot of thinking and self assuring before I finally drop below and then the weigh has been coming off very fast and consistantly.

I truly believe that so many of our weight issues are in our heads.
