Okay, I know that there are at least three of us here (Elisa and Michelle and Moi). Anyone else? Anyone interested in forming a Valley support group?

Hi Janina, I had no idea you were from the Imperial Valley.

My hubby just had surgery a week ago & I also know of 2 others that are from the Valley but I'll let them peek out and say HI. It would definitely be great to form a support group out here. I keep talking about it with others but we haven't done anything--yet. Just let me know, ok?

Hi Elisa,

Yup, as I told Michelle, I'm "doing time" in Calexico. I have my appointment with the nutritionist tomorrow at PMH. I think they may already have a support group going but I'm not sure. The nutritionist appointment is my last hurdle before seeing the surgeon and getting my packet shipped off to my insurance for approval. Last night I dreamt that I was already losing and my jeans were hanging off my body. Ahhhh.

Me and my wife are from the Valley. I had a GB seven years ago from Alan Wittgrove in SD, and my wife had hers five years ago. I've gained back about 100 pounds out of the 350 that I lost. I'm currently losing again after seeing my doc for the first time in four or five years. My wife has kept her weight off give or take a few pounds. I never got as skinny as I wanted to. 225 was my bottom. 575 was my top. My math may be off, but, heck, it's been seven years.

I'm from Imperial Valley as well. Anyone else out there? I thought Elisa and I were the only ones! Did they ever start up a group here? My husband and I both had the surgery. He had it 12 years ago and I had it 4 mos ago. I have lost 71 lbs. He started at 430 and lost to 250 and then gained back to 350. He has now lost back to 296 with me. 56 lbs to my 71. He's doing awesome and is still losing. The pouch still works! So you can do it too!!
