Default How much does a gym membership cost?

Hi Everyone,

If you belong to a gym, do you mind revealing how much your membership cost? I'm trying to to decide if hubby and I can afford to join a gym. Our son is starting college in the fall, so this family is on a tight budget for the next four years.

Too bad you don't live here and could go with me. I am getting ready to join a small fitness center that is soooo cheap! It has pretty much anything you would want, but is older and smaller.......they are giving me a corporate rate. It will cost me $30 to join and a little over $23 a month! I forget how much for a couple. They don't allow kids though, but I mostly want to go during the day on my free time.

I belong to Golds Gym...no registration fee, and I pay $23.00 per month. I have access to all of the cardio equipment I can handle, free weights, balls, weight machines, a pool, free classes, dry sauna, wet sauna etc. I love my gym!!

The one I'm looking at possibly joining (YMCA) costs about $45 a month... less if you're a full-time student (then I think it costs around $30 a month with no one-year committment).

L. A. fitness is $25. a month. The trainer on the other costs about 30 bucks a 30 minute session.
