FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND YOUR INSURANCE CAN DENY THE SURGERY BUT THE CONSULT SHOULD NOT BE DENIED. IF YOU BROUGHT IN ALL OF THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION TO YOUR PCP THEY SHOULD HAVE DICTATED A LETTER EXPLAINING THE NECESSITY OF THE VISIT. HANG IN THERE PRESSURE YOU PCP,INS AND THE IPA (medical group) THAT YOU ARE WITH. REMEMBER THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL!!!!

First, you have to push and push and push to the maximum. I hear lots of good stories and outcomes. You have to remember that Insurance Companies exist because of the money, not your health.. with that in mind.... start your fight !!
