Default Ouch

I had my surgery 1 month ago monday and I'm feeling pretty good mobility wise. My pouch has it's good days and bad days and my appetite seems to have decreased a bit this last week. Pouchie is more sesitive it seems. That all said my biggest problem is wearing underwear and bras! I want to go out so that I am getting some exercise, but I am in pain. It's not like they are real tight or anything. Pressure just below my boobs (where I'm told the pouch is) kills as does anything across my abdomen. Is this unusual? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had the same problem. I wore a sports bra and the biggest underwear that I had to decrease the pressure. It went away for me at about 3-4 weeks.

I didn't wear a bra or undies for about 4 weeks, but I was wearing a binder as I had my surgery open. My surgeon requires the binder for 12 weeks (5/30), but I started wearing a bra and undies with help from hubby...

Undies haven't been a problem for me, but bra's were and still are. I am large busted and the boobs have been used to sitting on my belly. Now with the belly decreasing, my shoulders have to hold up the weight more. I have gone down 3 sizes around, but the cup size is the same. The pouch doesn't like boobs.....I just make sure I wear a good supporting bra when I am out..the minute I get in the door...it comes off!

Thanks, I'm going to look for some larger sports bras. I wear 42 D right now and it's not comfortable. Any suggestion as to where to purchase that large of a size?

Catherine's off hwy 78 at Jefferson exit in the shopping center with the Annas Linens, toys r us, Mervyns?, Payless shoes, 76 Car wash, Burgerking, etc.
They have large sizes, underware, bras, etc.
Good luck and glad to hear you're doing well at 1 month out.

Has anyone else felt stabbing pains in their breasts -- the more they sag from weight loss? First it was my right breast, then, about a month later, it was my left breast. They're both ok now -- but I'm pretty sure it was caused by my new droop.

I had some slight pressure in those areas for the first couple of weeks. I wore sports bras as well and my boy shorts. It will go away, if it doesn't I would run it pass your surgeon.

I don't have a suggestion to offer...

But, wanted to say-- great question and I'm taking my notes of what to buy beforehand so I don't have to have my friends go to the store for me-- that would've been embarassing ...

sports bra..and big undies
