Hi Faith,
I oh so know the feeling, I absolutely love ice water too. I would always put water in the freezer prior to surgery and drink like a fish. I've found that after the surgery, water would hurt so bad, I really never purchased bottled water before surgery, but now that's the only water I will drink. I buy the purified kind and it doesn't seem to hurt so bad, I also put a 16 oz. bottle in the freezer and it's so good, not as good as before, but if I sip it's OK, also great is these little green tea mixes that you add to your bottled waters, yes sugar free. I think that tap water contains way to many chemicals for are little pouch.

Hmmm.. interesting. To be honest I have never tried bottled water. (i am so cheap.. LoL to buy water! I can see my mother's face in horror right now) But I think I will try it. The colder it is the easier it is for you?
Thanks Christina ! I will try these things

I think this is just personal. I seem to have a harder time when it's real cold. It doesn't hurt, I just can't drink it very fast and drink much of it. But he weird thing is, I swear now room temp feels cold to me! Like my brain decided that if my pouch wouldn't cooperate, it would make it's own reality. I used to always have to have my drinks as ice cold as possible.

Faith,
I thought that I would not be able to drink water in terms of gulping it down as I was able to do pre-op. As I am approaching the 2 year post-op mark, I am able to drink a lot more volume without it hurting. It has to be ice cold for me to drink it though.

Faith I am in love with almost frozen water right now or anything that is that cold is very soothing for me. I have never had any problems with just drinking straight down. When I was first post-op I was very anal about sipping but now....

I too drink cold ice water from a bottle. The stuff out of the tap seems harder on my system. I make lemonade from bottled water and fill the glass with ice and don't have problems....if I do the same with the tap water, I can't drink it (we buy the HUGE bottle water and have the water cooler in our house)

If you don't so the bottled water thing, you could get a Britta water filter and fillit with tap water...the Britta filter makes it taste great and tales the yucky stugg out. I can't do strait water - I have to do it with peppermint tea
