Brooke,

That's why. It's because you entered the site via other doorways instead of clicking on the links in the emails. The emails clearly state that if you don't click on the links, you will not get future email notifications.

Does your email program have a "get Mail" or "Refresh" setting? If it does, try it.

Also, there is a time lag between the time of the post and the time the email notification is sent. This can be an hour or more depending on how busy the forum is. The lag can be even longer if your email server is slow. What I find is, I check in five or six times a day (I like you folks! ) and often I look at a new post before the email is sent, so then I subsequently don't get sent the notification.

I'm not computer savvy enough to know what those settings are......hate to admit that. It's not the time lag........oftentimes there are several hours between times I am on. Hows about you just come on over and fix this for me? I'll make you some tea.

Nah, nothing has changed. I've been visiting the website the same way since October and my settings haven't changed here or at AOL; also, I'm on Broadband, so it's very fast. Something else has happened. I know the emails always include a notice that you won't receive anymore emails until you visit the website again. I didn't know it said you have to click on the links. Who is in charge here ? Who is the administrator? Maybe they can help.

I thought it would be ok this way, but what I don't like is that I have to find new posts, then click in and find the last one I read. The other way took me to the place I last read. Oh bother!
