Your Nickname (OT)
Hi Everyone,
This is OT, but I like the clever and inventive nicknames on this board. Enquiring minds want to know, what does your nickname mean and why did you choose it?

Well, I picked mine because I'm from Michigan and I'm a lady. "Mi" "Lady" I thought it worked well.

Good question! I look forward to hearing everyone's answers.
"CiCi" is a nickname that I got from my youngest son (sort of). From about the age of 2 until he was around 4, he would try to say my name, Traci, because that's what he heard his Dad calling me. But when he tried to say "Traci", it came out as "CiCi". It's stuck ever since. He started calling me Mom again, but friends still sometimes call me CiCi.
I love thinking about the way he would say "Hi, CiCi" in his cute little boy voice when I walked into the room. He was (and still is) so adorable!

Well, this thread was a cool idea. I got mine back in college....it was a joke because it rhymed with my last name and my initials would be M.A.D.

My real name is Jeanne, but there's already a Jeanie here so I chose a nom de forum. IpsieDixie is a modification of the phrase "ipse dixit" which is Latin for "if s/he says it, believe it."
