Your story truly made me laugh out loud. (sorry!) I'm glad you are finally feeling better. What a horrible ordeal you endured. Congrats on getting that date! Things do really work out in the end don't they? I'm sure that after 4 months you have SOME idea of what she likes. Incorporate that into that date!

Oh my gosh, Rod! What an adventure -- one I hope I never have to go through, I might add. I am so happy that there was a positive outcome. It's like in the movies when at the end of the story the guy gets the girl I wish you the best in your recovery -- and with the girl!

I live in Ohio and 4weeks after my surgery I had to have adheisons removed. I know the pain you are talkin about. It has been 3years since I had the second surgery. So far no more major problems.

Holy geez! I cannot even begin to imagine the horror that you were just put through, but I am glad everything turned out well. Keep up your spirits and feel better. Why is it that the bad stuff always seems to happen when you are far from home?

Rod i am sooo sorry you had to go through that, but laugghed so hard at your story - I agree with the others that you should investigate a career in writing...wow you are good as I was on the edge of my seat and am now late for work and don't even care

Congrats, too, on your sweetie. I hope your date goes great - you are so blessed to be such solid friends before taking the next step - thats the way my husband and I were (and are).

Here is how you change from "good friends" to romance - look at her differently, with loving eyes. Bring her (or send her) flowers. And when you put your arm around her, let her know it isn't slung there, but that you really wanted to touch her shoulder.

This, from a 67 year old woman who has been married 3 times.

Trust me, it works.

Default Road Trip

Boy when you go on a road trip to 'experience life' you really do it good! I'm sorry you had such a bad weekend, but I'm glad it turned out ok. Just think of the stories your friends will have to tell their kids, and embarass you with after you are all healed up and better.

Keep getting well!!
