I say go for it, Rod. You definitely have a knack for writing.

Now I have to postpone the date till the dreaded fever blister goes away. I must be putting Abreva on this thing by the metric ton.
Heh. Life's a bitch, ain't it??

Simple. Don't do what you normally do when you're out with her.

<sigh> I suppose you want specifics, huh?

How about this: What do you think of a champagne hot air balloon ride and dinner afterwards at a really nice restaurant?

Okay, okay... that may be a bit steep in price for a 'real first date'... so maybe just the dinner at a really nice restaurant for now. I suppose you could maybe add in a trip to a local art museum... or a concert, perhaps.

Ah well, that's all I can come up with for now... maybe someone else will have better ideas... it's way past my bed time!

Good luck!

Default All I can say is WOW !

I am happy you are doing better now. I am glad you have found a real "FRIEND" I think it's better starting out as friends. You can be yourself . Ask her what she wants to do .....

You know, all we really want is a guy that can make us feel special, attractive, and most of all...make us LAUGH! IF you can do all of those things on your 'date', then you could take her to Mc.Donalds and it wouldn't matter!!! *snort* Ok...it might matter...LOL!! Be unusual...don't show up with flowers...those are so...trite...show up with some trinket or something that really is of interest to her. For instance I love to read, so my Man...had an embossing tool made especially for me and my hoards of books. It was unique, yet really showed me that he knew ME. I love that embossing tool! Mostly, just be you...by being her friend, she was able to see the real you, don't try to hard to change roles at this point. Just be you with a bit of "Pizzazz"

After reading how you wrote about your serious adventure and seeing your natural talent for story telling, I would have to say you need only look inot that heart of yours and open it up so she can see the gem inside.

We have all fallen for you, so will she!
Be yourself, clever and witty and everything else!
