My BF and I don't live together, so he doesn't eat what I cook. But I do notice he put on a few lbs from when we go out together. He eats his and part of mine sometimes. When he pointed this out I suggested we order one and split......he was NOT going for that! lol I do think if we lived together he would lose some weight though. When I do make things for him that I do healthy versions of he always eats them and likes them......like chili made with buffalo meat and veggies shredded and snuck in it.

Default Not married, and no BF, BUT...

I have noticed that my kids have been fluxuating in their weight since my surgery. They started out eating very little, as I did, thinking I was ill (hence not eating as much as I used to). Then as my appeteit increased so did theirs. GRANTED it is NOT the large amounts I used to eat and I have gained ALOT of energy...so we run around ALOT more than we used to. But depending on the day and the food, sometimes they will say "I just don't wanna eat that much, momma!" and be done. I don't know...I just hope my eating habits from before the surgery and after don't confuse them.

Lisa, first off, I want to comment on two things ... you are doing really well with your weight loss and your new photo looks great! Congratulations!

My husband has always been smaller. When we got married 27 years ago I was 5'3" tall and weighed about 160 or so. He was 6'2" tall and weighed around 140. That was not so bad for us. However, during my pregnancy I gained over 60 pounds and kept climbing after that. When I had surgery in January I weighed 288 (following a 10 pound loss in the months prior to surgery) and he weighed about 220. He has put on weight over the years, but I have always weighed the most.

As far as his eating since I had surgery, it has remained about the same. I think he eats a lot, but he's one of these men who can because he is on the go all the time at work and does not gain weight. I have noticed that since I am only eating less than 1/4 cup at a time, he may eat more at some meals. He eats too fast, too, which I think is bad for him. It will be interesting to see what happens with the difference in our weight loss over the next few months. I envision weighing less than him before much longer for the first time in our history together!!

Since this surgery I have noticed hubby's eating habits..... not good. But it's my fault. I still buy the snacks for him and my daughter but I still get fruits too. He goes back to see his cardiologist in a couple of months and says he has to lose about 25 pounds before the doctor yells at him. Last week during the two "warm" days we did walk up to get the paper (about a mile) I still cook too much food for us....I am used to cooking alot so I'm still learning. I see myself in my 13 year old daughter and I am trying to change her eating habits a little at a time. I don't want her to grow up like me , the biggest kid in the class.

DH gained at first. About 20 lbs. He made a joke about finishing what I left and how it caught up to him. Now though he's back down to normal. He's military and says that really helps keep him in check. He's afraid he'll blow up when he retires!!

my husband weight is the same as your - it is so frustrating for me - i wanted to be less than him and the guy goes and loses weight - i will say my son is only .5 lbs lighter than me at anygiven time - so i know i will be weighing less than him very soon he is taller than my dh and me and is more built due to football & weighttraining right now
