The way I understand it-whey has milk products-so, if you're lactose intolerant, then soy is the way to go. I use Body Fortress whey protein from Walmart-it tastes good, is cheaper, and has 20-22g protein per 110 cal. serving. I haven't had any problems with lactose intolerance.

From my perspective, protein is protein. Its what your pouch can tolerate and what tastes good to you. I tried several Soy products and they were all nasty. I now use Unjury protein powder,

Its a little more expensive, but it tastes good, even in water.

I say whatever you can tolerate in your pouch and the taste of...............most of us struggle to find one or two we like. Go under search and key in protein and you'll find tons of old posts about products.

Danniboi.....in your opinion where is the least expensive place to purchase protein drinks. Yesterday I went to GNC and got their gold card for further discounts.

Hey girl....haven't seen much of you on here lately! If you want some packs of a brand from GNC I will mail you some. I know I have like Chocolate Truffle and Chocolate Mint, and maybe Dark Chocolate or such. I also bought samples of Nectar and don't think it's my niche.......and 2 of the flavors involve tea, so I can send a few of those also. Let me know....or anyone else who wants them. I want to pass them on before they get old. Free is cheap.

Hey lady..yeah it's been a minute since i've been here. Was just busy with the remainder of testing. I sent you a message with my address...many thanks...let me know what i owe u. Do you purchase all of your supplies from GNC? I checked out The Vitimin Shop the other day and picked up a whey protein powder...lemon tea or something like that..ewwwwwww not tasty at all. I'm wondering of my taste buds are going to change after surgery. GNC had a buy one get one 50% off on all GNC Performance Products.

For me it all comes down to taste. Both are good. I could tolerate different protein powders prior to surgery than now. So which ever you choose, get sample packages or small ones and try them now and then again after surgery. Your pouchie will tell you which one they prefer!
