Question Newbie Questions

Hi Y'all,

Newbie questions here.

1. What does the icon that looks like a sheet of paper mean?

2. Who are The Powers That Be? Are there mods?

3. Who is the board proprietor? I'd sure like to write to him or her to say thanks for founding this community!

Thanks for enlightening this humble newcomer,
Dixie

Hi Kristie,
Hope you don't mind and all but when I seen your picture I thought of Dolly Parton. For some reason i thought you looked a bit like her.

Hi Dixie,
Welcome to the forum. You will find this to be a very interesting group of people. If you don't mind me asking, where are you at on your weight loss journey? call me nosey sorry....

Hi Suzeq,

Thank you for the welcome! No, I don't mind at all answering questions. I am scheduled for lap RNY on May 1. My top weight was 250, my present weight is 237 with a BMI of 27. My goal weight is 135.

I'm looking forward to the start of my new life. I know that there'll be pain and frustration along the road. But I figure, heck, I've given birth so I know pain and as for frustration, I'm the parent of a teenager, so frustration is no stranger to me either.

I have a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Pablo Gazmuri of Newton, Massachusetts. I have absolute confidence in him. His staff has been fantastic - I can't say enough in praise of his nutrionist, psychologist, nurses and especially the wonderful insurance biller who wrangled approval out of my insuror.

I am very happy to have found this foru, too! I'ts nice to be among you all.

Dixie

Hey Dix it's me again! I don't know #1......#2 I actually wrote and thanked them also, but now I just can't seem to find how I did that. It's one of the doctor's sons.............I think his name is John Callery. Maybe click around on the site til you find it. And last, but not least.....we are out of control with no moderator! Whether to have one is one of those debated topics, but right now there is none.

Later girl...............

Dr. Callery's son, John Callery developed and administers this site. Thanks to John, we have this awesome forum. Currently, there is not a moderator, but I know that Dr. C keeps a close eye on the content and what goes on here.

Hi backatcha, Marty and thanx again for all the sage advice you gave me elsewhere. I will definitely go looking for the board meister so I can thank him. If I find out his name and contact info, I'll post it here.

Interesting that there are no mods! What a civil bunch must hang out here! I think I've found heaven - a flame-free forum! Now that's unique.
