Default complication resolved for now...whewwww

So about 2 weeks ago I started vomiting most meals and it progressed to puree foods again and they came up too. Some days it was hard to keep in water.

Well today I had a scope with Nohr. I was SO SCARED. It all turned out just fine. My opening was 12mm at surgery and had gone to 7mm as of today. He scoped and ballooned it back to 15mm. He says it should go down to about 12mm on its own and if my symptoms come back again, then I should contact him right away and get in sooner.

When I left the nurses told me to go out and eat a meal. I was so surprised...I thought I would have to wait a day or so.

I went and ordered 6 shrimp and rice with teriyaki sauce. I didn't think I would be able to eat the rice, but low and behold, I ate 4 of the shrimp and about 4 bites of rice! I am so thrilled. No pain going down, no nausea, nothing but a good feeling.

I don't weigh in until Wedneday, but I am positive I lost weight only eating minimal and drinking water for 7 days.

I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! I was starting to think I signed up for starvation camp!

How do you feel now? Better? Do you think you could identify the problem easier next time?

I am sooo dang happy for you!! Do you think that may be the problem your pod mate is having...*senility makes me forget her name.. * How is she by the way? I remember you posting to keep her in our prayers, but I don't remember seeing how that came out...senility again

I am so glad you got it figured out and fixed. My rule is when it doesn't seem right, it isn't, and you were not feeling right. I hope you have an easy ride from here on out.

Lisa,

So glad you're feeling better! I bet the food was the best you ever ate.

Lisa that is great news. I am glad your doctor jumped on top of the problem and found a solution. I am so happy you are not suffering anymore. Enjoy your meals you deserve it.

Happy you are getting better. I've had three Endoscopes done.. and each time I can't eat for a couple weeks before they do them. When I'm done I eat like there is no tomorrow. Of course it's not a lot of food but considering I go for a couple weeks on almost nothing it seems like a lot.

Lisa, I'm so glad things are going better for you. I hope the strictures will now become a thing of the past and you will feel stronger each day.
