Default Plastic Surgeons

so - I am still deciphering if this is something that I want to do.. It might be the best cause I have a boat load of extra skin.. but I still want to lose more - ya know?? I am 16 months out.. so I figure - hey maybe 1 more kid - and then have it done.. but I am looking for surgeons out there that are good - who did you use, or plan to use? Also are they familiar with the bariatric PS.. AND how did you get Insurance if at all to cover any of it??

Melissa:
This is a very interesting question - I'm still pre-op, but I know I'm going to need a TT after all is said and done. I've been MO since BIRTH, so this gal's skin ain't snapping back!

Hey there my lil chick a dee. I used to J. Timothy Katzen. He is the Orange County/Los Angels area. He was well worht the drive. Once he has a practice open to all people with all needs, now he only does post op WLS patients and is recommended from Obesity help. Itis my anticipation to have him speak at my home in El Cajon within the next couple of months at support group. He's the best, although there are others here who have had great success with lcal surgeons. My doc accepts private insurance and cash ans will dowhatever it taked to get your insurance to cover reconstruction. I had 10 pounds rmonved from tummy and thighs and have mre to go on my back side.. one of these days, sigh.

Stay in touch, and you can come to my place and ask him all the questions ya like!

Default My two cents...

Now this is just MY OPINION...you can take it or leave it!!
My ex-boyfriend's brother, who is 28 yrs old and was in great health, decided to have a tummy tuck (for vanity sake) by Dr. Sessions. Now he's having some SERIOUS problems. About a week after surgery he went back into the hospital because the muscles they cut and stretched, ripped and they had to go back in a re-sew/re-attach them. He has all these drains in for the fluid and I guess you're only supposed to "leak" a few cc's a day, but he's "leaking" 50-60 cc's daily. And on top of that he's got quite a few blood clots in his legs and his gut area. He went to the Dr and told him he was having leg pain and cramping, and the Dr sent him home. Now, he's been in the hospital since Friday and they opened him back up again yesterday to see if they could find out what the heck is going on. They put filters in his legs to catch the blood clots if/when they come loose. All this for a flatter tummy? I'm not so sure I want to even chance any of this happeneing to me. I'm thinking about re-thinking my decision to get a TT EVER. Again, just MY OPINION.

I had a TT and boob lift 3 years ago by Dr. William Umansky in the UTC area. He was marvelous and took great care of me. You can't even see the scars on my boobs, they hang very naturally, and he was very reasonable. I strongly recommend him.
