Hello everyone..........just wanted to let you know I have been approved for surgery. I stopped by today(at the office) and dropped off my HIV report and some bloodwork they wanted done again. The receptionist told me that my info was submitted on 09/08. I didnt know that. All this time I thought they were waiting for my info. At any rate I called the authorization dept at Sharp Rees Stealy and they said I was approved. I can't believe it. The person handling my referral said I should receive my letter in a few days. I have been to the nutritional meeting and the support meeting. So all I have left to do is to have my surgery. Then I need to figure which support group meeting would be best with my schedule.

Hey, congrats to you, Tonya and Tricia! You'll probably get a date REAL SOON!

Last week, Leslie called to tell me I was approved and wanted me to come in for surgery THIS WEEK!!!! I gasped and stammered (most intelligently, I'm sure) and told her I'd need a week to set up stuff at work. So I'm off to surgery less than two weeks after getting THE CALL, so it looks like they're scheduling for the near future.
