Each hospital has their own rules. I had my acrylics on with pink/whites..no polish and it was fine. Definitely get a pedicure if nothing else!!! Try to relax. I started these puzzles called "soduku" and became addicted. They occupied my spare time when I was bored.

I do not have fake nails, but I do have acryclic over my real nails, which was fine for surgery, but I had to have clear polish. I had a French manicure, which was fine. I, too, pampered myself. The weekend before I had surgery on Tuesday, I got a manicure, pedicure, hair cut and highlights, and a massage. I was in heaven! Go for it, girl!!

So do you guys think toenail polish is okay? I was going to get a pedicure...but I didn't know if that was allowed.

Dyann - I am additcted to SoDuko too!!! Its frusteratlingly addictive

I had blue toe nail polish on and my fingernails had French acrylics. No problems. With my last surgery, I took off my acrylics and I was glad because I went into shock and the first thing they did after noticing my blue lips was check my nails and they were totally blue.
