Question Worried About My Weight Loss

I am worried because I feel that I have not lost enough weight. My post-op was 287 on 10/27/05, I weighed today and I am at 223, its going to be 3 months. I have that scared feeling that I will stop loosing weight. Its like a mind thang.

Default Dude

try not to focus on the weight, I swear I would outlaw scales if I could. Try and stay off them except for doctor visits. Suzy

Ok I am confused. How much weight were you expecting to lose at this point. You have lost almost 70 pounds in three months, that is a lot. At the rate you are going you will be hitting the century club way before 6 months. Don't stress your self out about the numbers. Just keep doing what you are doing. Congrats on 64 pounds gone forever.

That is an AWESOME amount. I'm almost 4 months and I've lost 72 lbs and that's not bad either. I'm not sure what you expected...

You are doing great. I'm at 7 months out and only down 66 pounds. At 3 months I was at 50 so you are doing better than I did.

Default Kill the scale!

I don't know if you live in a multistory house, but go to the highest floor you can and:

Step 1: Open window (you may wish to check for neighbors, cats or cars below and adjust step two as needed)

Step 2: Toss scale out of window

Step 3: Look in the mirror and see how different you look than 3 months ago! Get out some pictures! You are amazing!

Real ideas (this is a pre-op talking here so you can tell me to shut up) You could re-read the pouch rules and maybe adjust your exersize regime. Find a personal trainer to help you? You've got tool number 1 working for you - don't forget the other tools you have!

As I read your post I can feel how upset you are, but you must realize this is working just the way it is suppose to!! From the other side, let me tell you, your weight loss looks WONDERFUL!! I hope I can do half as well!!
