I am in SHOCK !!!
I had my operation on November 14th. So as of today I am 2 months and 7 days post-op.
I have lost 110lbs.
This is (of course) great news. But now I am concerned that I will not be able to stop losing weight when I need to. I am 6'4" and a height/weight chart I looked at said I should be between 187 - 201 lbs. But everyone I have talked to has said for my frame that may be to light.
So my concern is that I won't be able to stop losing weight. I am only 2 months out and just (at most) 55 lbs from my goal weight. I can't tell you how odd a worry that is for me...
So does anyone have any advise for me?

Holy Smokes Batman...you have lost alot of weight...but the great new is....That the first 6 months its very common to loose alot of weight - thus called the honeymoon period. A very low percentage of people loose too much weight. My doc told me that that each of us is individual and most times, you body will let you know when you are at a good goal weight for you and the weight loss will slow down or stop. Key thing is listen to your body, eat properly and get enough protein and nutrients and keep in contact with your doctor as he/she will be able to guide you to whats right for you.

WOW that's a lot to lose in two months. Have you talked to you doc about it? That would be my advice. See what he/she says and then maybe that will help you to feel better. Keep us posted on what the doc says!

My plan is to call my doctor on Monday. I just weighed myself for the first time in 3 or 4 weeks last night.

You are my frigging hero man! 110 lbs is awesome. I can only hope I'm that successful. Talk to your doctor about the pace but everything I've read says that it will even out over the next few months for you. Start lifting, think muscle mass. I'm kinda like you as I have thrown away the scale and only weigh myself at the doctors office when I go in to be checked. Don't sweat the number, concentrate on how you feel.

Rodney first off, welcome to the century club. Wow that is a lot of weight to drop in such a short amount of time. Once you get to the point where you want to stop losing the weight I would make arrangments with the nutrionist so you two can plan out a new diet plan. It might be difficult at first because you are still under 6 months. So what you are going to be able to consume isn't going to be much. Hopefully the nutrionist wil be able to help you find a way to increase your calorie intake to maintain your weight. I am sure when you get to a certain weight you will know what is good for you. No chart can determine your comfort. Keep up the great work.

How do you feel? What's your energy like? Keep up with the protein, vitamins, and water. You can reverse some of the Pouch Rules for Dummies to slwo it down and maintian a healthy weight.

I feel great. I have mega tons of energy and as a matter of fact helped two girls move from two different apartments yesterday and did all the heavy lifting with no problems. Heck, I'm not even sore today.
Eating is ok...thought I get very gassy and burp a lot after even a small amount of food. I am doing everything I can to eat 3 times a day, but it can be hard sometimes.
Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I am happy, and am now getting into what I think the real hard part will be. The social aspect. Already I am getting a lot more attention from the opposite sex. But I still have the same super low self esteem that I have always had when it comes to asking a girl out.
Ugh...

You are in one of the best cities in the world for a single man. There a few places in this country with finer scenery if you know what I mean . The old you is dead, this is the new you. Look in the mirror man, you have the tools...now get out there and use them!
