Default What are signs of Stricture

Please help. I am miserable today. I had a protein shake this morning around 6:30, and at about 9:00AM I had 3 bites of scrambled egg and a piece of bacon. I have been miserable ever since. Like it won't pass. I have been throwing up, but not real throw up. It is slimy and clear. Sorry to be so graphic. Oh yeah, and I have the hiccups really bad. Any thoughts

Ah, Bacon...my biggest enemy. I still can't eat it. I throw up nothing, but frothe everytime I eat it. I will not eat anything with bacon in it to this day.

Signs of a stricture are vomiting even with liquids. Hiccups....I get those from eating too fast and eating too much.

I used to get like that all the time - either I would curl up and die, or take a long brisk walk to help it pass. I was notorious for getting up during a meal (especially at a restaurant) and walking around the building. You may have eaten too much too fast. Guess what? I am 4 years post op and did myself in at lunch today - I ate 1/2 a chicken sub and had cold sweats/palpitaltions afterwards. I still do it from time to time, don't be discouraged!

I am happy to post that I am doing much better. Shortly after I posted, I was about to call the Dr. office and low and behold I threw up. A real throw up, not the burping, slimy throw up. I immediately felt better. I even went back to work. Right now I am taking it super easy and having chicken noodle soup with mostly broth. Thanks for the replies.

Default Symptoms

A stricture is a blockage and I've had it and also going through it a second time. When you eat your food feels like it's stuck in your chest area. And won't go down. Eventually you bring up the food .. still food. Right now It's happening again but my PCP doc is going to get my referral to get another Endoscope. If you have any more questions you can PM me and I will help you all I can.
