Default Best, Most Accurate (yet affordable) Scale?

Which scale on the market is the most accurate and best quality. I know Tanita seems to be the best brand, and I purchased this one, and after I got further away from the scales maximum capacity, I thought it would get more accurate, but it's worse now. I'll get on and it will read something, then I'll get on 5 minutes later and it will read 20 lbs more or less.

Any suggestions of what to purchase? Thanks.

Jared,
I don't know what to suggest, but didn't want to leave you hanging with views and no responses. When you do figure it out, let me know, because mine is weird that way too.

I just got an average priced scale at Wal-Mart with the lithium battery. It is very consistant to my pcp's scale and off by a pound with Dr. C's scale. I had it for 2 years now and it still works the same.

Many scales aren't very accurate if you're over 250 lbs. When my hubby was heavy, we ended up getting a medical grade scale that weighed to 600. It's still accurate 4 years later, even as we lost weight. Plus, it matches the MD scale, so no guess work.

Colleen, they do make scales like that. Look at Sharper image

My scale is inaccurate because the floor I put the scale on is uneven. So I get approximately a 8-10 lb difference. I do it like the olympics--throw out the high and low and average the rest.

Tanita does make good scales that measure you body fat percentage. Weight Watchers also has a good scale that will track your start, last and goal weights. Depends on what you're looking for...

I got this one off eBay ...

http://cgi.ebay.com/550-TALKING-Bath...QQcmdZViewItem

It was the first step to my new life. Once I knew what I REALLY weighed, I began correcting my life that day. The rest is history, or history in the making.

This scale also is never more than a pound different than my doctor's scale, so I'm very pleased.

Personally I have a Wal-Mart Digital, and it's more accurate than my PcP's. Of course, it can vary the weight 2-7 #'s at times... I guess that really wasn't an answer at all! Sheese....

I don't like scales at this point anyway.
