Shocking Pizza Moment
I just had to share this.
I know it is not the best food choice, but get this everyone!
My boss bought lunch today for everyone, cuz we are going thru rate change hell this week.
Anyway, so he bought pizza, and I had 1 piece…that’s it just one, and I was not full, but very satisfied, and did not want any more. Can you believe that? Before I would have had at least 4 or 5 pieces. But today…. jus 1, too kewl! I am finally stating to accept WLS and not be so scared, and wondering if I made the right decision. YEA!!

Danette,
Doesn't it feel good to realize 1 is enough? I'm happy for you.

Isn't great to realize you can just have one and walk away? I eat pizza every couple of weeks-thin crust only. I always have a bit of grilled chicken salad with it. There are much worse choices I could make!

I love pizza.. one slice at a time It tastes so much better now. Amazing how one slice tastes better than half a pie did in our prior lives..... pizza honey, its all good. Everything in moderation!

I just eat the toppings on pizza. If I eat the whole slice it is just too much.

I do the same thing when pizza is around! One slice, then I eat a side salad.

Isn't wonderful to be able to walk away from the foods that used to enslave us? If there was pizza in my house before I would'nt be able to leave it alone or quit thinking about it being there, in the kitchen, on the counter, calling my name, until I had at least mutilated the last slice if I couldn't stuff one more piece down. Now I can eat a few bites of something and THROW THE REST AWAY! I've NEVER discarded food before, my chihuahua is eating like a king now, today he is dragging a rib bone around the yard thats bigger than him, took the kids to Magic Time Machine last night for a birthday celebration, we ordered the Roman Orgy and I sent home all the prime rib with a friend, saved a beef rib for the dog, and brought home the delicious veggies for us! A few bites off everything that came to the table was plenty and I left there feeling comfortably full without Gizmo expressing his displeasure. Isnt it a great feeling of mastery over your appetite to be able to join in with everyone else on a dietary splurge but still be taking care of your own needs, no self sabotauge anymore.
