Default Remember me Update on my Pregnancy

Hello everyone! Happy New Year. Well I had an open surgery Feb.3, 2005 I weighed 297. I am currently 38 weeks and expecting a girl. I weigh 203 and have been at this weight for about 2-3 months. Sad news is that the baby was weighing about 4.5 lbs in my ultrasound last week so my little girl is in about the 10% in what a baby should weigh at this stage average is about 6lbs. I hoping to make it to my due date. Jan. 20, 2006 I have not had any of my children before my due dates all have been induced about a week after. Weights were 7lbs 14oz, 8lbs 1oz, and 8lbs 5oz. So this little girl will be little. Believe me I try to eat every 2 hours and munch on healthy snacks. Well thanks for reading and please keep us in your prayers. I just want my baby to be born healthy.

Sylvia,
Of course I remember you! Glad to see you back and posting! You and your baby girl are in my prayers! Hopefully she will gain a couple of pounds here in the next couple of weeks. My girls were both premature and weighed in at 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 lbs. They are now 11 and 13 yrs old, perfectly healthy, and both the tallest in their class! Try not to worry! Those little girls put up a heck of a fight and gain weight pretty quickly. Plus, you don't want her to go through any undue stress! Please let us know how you both are doing! Big hugs!

Prayers coming for you and the little one. When I had my son last year he was 4 weeks early and they told me from the biophysical that he only weighed 5 pounds. He was 7lbs 9oz. Even if she is a little peanut thats OK what matters is that she has been in there over 36 weeks and her lungs are mature. That was my son's problem his lungs were not ready so he needed to be on a vent.

Girls also are stronger than boys.

You've had kids before, if you feel her moving like she should and you're eating good food, chances are she'll be fine. You most likely have a sense of how she's doing, right? If she's a little skinny, she'll catch up fast - they always do! When I had an ultrasound at 38 weeks, they said my daughter was already 10 pounds and that she could be close to 12 by delivery. They told me to prepare for a C-section! I had her naturally, on my due date, without drugs and she weighed 9 pounds, 9 oz. I wonder where those other pounds went, huh? So sometimes they're right, sometimes not. In any case, even if they are exactly right, I'm sure she'll be fine and healthy and you'll have a great time fattening her up!

We're thinking of you and praying for you and your baby!

Aww sweety I can assure you things will be ok. Honestly 38 weeks wouldn't be considered an early delivery but her staying in the womb 40 weeks could better her weight. Please promise you will be breast feeding. My goddaughter was born a month an a half early and was born 2 pounds and 3 ounces and since babies lose 10 percent of their body weight she dropped to 1 pound and 14 ounces. She is now a health 9 year old health very smart girl. Sweety don't stress your self, put her in Gods hands. She will be just fine. Biggest hugs. Things will be OK.
