Ok all my locals. Where to stay and play in Big Bear? I have been trying to break out of my comfort zone and my boys have been bugging to go snowboarding this season so I am looking into a couple of days in Big Bear. I am really at a loss as to where to start and it seems I get alot of "I know of this place, it's great, can't remember the name or exactly where it is but I'll check it out for you" and that kind of helpfulness........I really want to do this for my boys and to break my creature of habit lifestlye and head to the mountains instead fo just talking about it.

Can anyone help?

Hi Brittany. Here is the web site for Snow Summit (which is the best place to ski - Bear Mountain is higher in elevation, but not as good...):
http://www.snowsummit.com/index_winter.php

And here is Big Bears website. Look up lodging, and then book according to prices and ammenities. Viola! Troip planned for you and your boys. let me know what you find. My hubby and I own in Worldmark, The Club, and they have a facility up there that is super nice, but I don't know the cost if you're not a member...

Honey Bear Lodge...............kinda rustic but walking istance to downtown Big Bear for shopping and plenty of room for the boys to run and play. Can take your pet doggie too.....gotta call 1st !
Enjoy. I love Big Bear!
