Default Bi-pap machine settings...

Does anyone know how to change these sans physician? I know it's not the "best" idea, but since I've lost 70 lbs, it is WAY too strong for me, and is actually keeping me awake, blowing too hard, and drying me out (even with humidifier).

I can't get an appt. with the "sleep doctor" until Jan. 10th, and really would like a few more night's sleep between now and then. This is nuts. I've ended up taking it off during the night, and sleeping without it, but that's not the best solution, either, and my throat gets really sore (don't SAY I'm still snoring! ).

Thanks for any help/input.... like I said, I would never WANT to do this in an unprofessional way, but I'm getting "desperate".

Sorry, but the machine settings need to be set by a doctor or a respiratory therapist, if allowed in your state.

That's what I figured (and with good reason, it's not that I don't agree! ).

I have a call into the doctor's office to see if I can get in sooner... thanks for your reply!!!
