If you know several people who have hit deer more than once, you might
live in Wisconsin.
If you often switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day, and back again,
you might live in Wisconsin.

live in Wisconsin.
If you can drive 65 m.p.h. through 2 feet of snow during a raging
blizzard, without flinching, you might live in Wisconsin.
If you see people wearing camouflage at social events (including weddings
and funerals), you might live in Wisconsin.
If you install security lights on your house and garage and leave both
unlocked, you might live in Wisconsin.
If you think of the major food groups as beer, fish, and venison, you
might live in Wisconsin.
If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife or girlfriend knows
how to use them, you might live in Wisconsin.
If there are 7 empty cars running in the parking lot at Mill's Fleet Farm
at any given time, you might live in Wisconsin.

snow, you might live in Wisconsin.

If you know how to polka, you might live in Wisconsin.
If your idea of creative landscaping is a statue of a deer next to your
blue spruce, you might live in Wisconsin.
If you were unaware that there is a legal drinking age, you might live in
Wisconsin.
If your neighbor throws a party to celebrate his new pole shed, you might
live in Wisconsin.
If you go out for a fish fry every Friday, you might live in Wisconsin.

in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin.

Everyone is Different
Okay, I have lived in San Diego since I was six years old. In the middle of the country, the farthest north I have ever been is (very quickly) driving through Oklahoma. You all sound like you live on Mars or star in some type of weird movie like "Children of the Corn."
I have never eaten venison...nor do I intend to. I know there must be fabulous people in Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio. However, it sounds like the only sane ones are on this forum! Thanks, but I'll stick with my sunny, beautiful San Diego.
By the way, what the hell is a pole shed?!? You actually build sheds around your poles?!?!!

As one from Socal myself, I totally agree with Dara - I would take our weather over snow anyday...BTW I too want to know what a pole shed is! And please tell me you don't actually wear camoflage to social events?!

I was wondering what a pole shed was myself. I have to admit I did laugh a lot when I read your list. I'm sure WI is a wonderful place to live but I'll stay in SUNNY San Diego!

Glad you all got a chuckle! I got the biggest laugh when I read Daras post about the pole shed...OMG I thought everyone knew what a pole shed was...I am still chucklin over here!
Ok-A pole shed is a stick frame building with steel siding. I guess I never realized that "pole shed" was a weird word till now.

Whitney,
I have to say yes camoflage is worn quite a bit around here including to social events. I don't think I have ever seen my husbands uncle in anything but dirty jeans, boots and his flannel shirts. Hunting, fishing and more of a redneck style is what brews up around here! I am sure in the bigger cities you find people have a little more style sense but not in these rural areas. Most people here are working on farms or in factory jobs!
Very interesting to see the differences in states!
