I didn't get to see the areaing of this show, however I can relate to this problem in not only teens but pre-teens as well.
Obesity runs in my family, to the point that my 09 year old weighs 108lbs, my 12 year old is weighing in at 185lbs

( both worry me because of their weights. I do not want to see them suffer the health issues in which I have suffered, nor do I want to see them struggle with dieting all their lives and resulting in possible wls. I read once that the are offering GBS for children. I made this decision for myself, I don't know if I could make it for my child.
I try to limit the types of food in which they consume, and let them eat my foods in which is totally different than their earlier eating habits. I plan their meals, prepare them and lecture them about weight/health issues. I am really worried about them and don't know anything else to do to help.
I even have them walk that 2 miles a day with me as well as them jumping for hours on the trampoline. Any suggestions?
