Default Are Fruit Smoothies Bad?

I saw someone say that these are bad...

I have one a day after I workout. It's yogurt, skim milk, bannanna, and a protien powder.

I will stop if they are bad...but is that right?

Default I'm amazed

I have no idea if it is right or wrong to have. I'm just amazed you can get it down. I had my surgery one week before you did and I can't do yogurt or milk. I think if it works for you by all means go for it. Good luck.

Not to much skim milk...it doesn't sit real well, but a little is ok. But I am talking about it being a high calorie drink? Would you consider it one?

And don't feel to bad about the milk...I had some mashed potato and I think I ate a little too much, I felt aweful for two hours after that.

But so far I have been vomit free.

Again, I'm no expert but since the milk and yogurt are fat free or low fat and banana has no fat, I think the calories are within a good range. It has lots of protein and all of those items are on the list of things you can have at 3 weeks. So I don't see why you can't blend it up. Hey, at least you are working out. I just shop arround the mall all day. Good for you.

Rod considering what your smoothies contain I would say they are fine. They are part of your meal which contains your daily needed protein. I think you are fine. Some people add stuff to their protein drinks because sometimes the protein taste is just to horrible. Does the yogurt and Bannana kill the protein taste? As long as you are getting all your protein in go for it.

Can't taste the protien mix at all. I get it from my fitness center. They are awesome.

First off, it sounds decent to me. I can't eat breakfast, so I use protein supplements and powdered milk to make cocoa and start my day with that. At least it gets a headstart on my ounces and protein!

Thumbs up Good Choice

Rod:

Why would something nutritionally good for you be bad? You have one a day. Sounds good to me, as long as you consider it part of your total caloric intake. If your pouch tolerates it, I say go for it!

One small thing: You didn't say if the yogurt was low fat or nonfat. I would suggest that it be either, but not regular yogurt--too many calories.

Good luck with your weight loss! Sounds like you're being careful, as you should be.
