Default Thrift Shopping!

Okay all you seasoned post-ops! Where in San Diego are the best thrift shops to buy clothes? I have hit the 100 lb mark and obviously my clothes don't fit anymore. I hate to buy brand new since I'm still losing. So who's got the best clothes? I like Goodwill in Escondido, but I'm looking for more stores. Any ideas?

Annette

FYI there is a store in Mission Valley called "A nite on the Town" where they have dress rentals for formal occasions. Now I know this sounds funny, but I have a cheap mother-in-law....she went there for her mother of the groom dress....and it was fabulous. Just thinking this could be a option for some of us looking for formal wear for Christmas. (Just a thought)

Default Well look what the cat dragged in :)

Hey chicken, good to see you! Well I hardly buy retail anymore, even after 1 1/2 years at goal! The best thrift store in my opinion is a new one right down the street from my house, or any Everything $5 Store. The one down the street from my crib is a DAV Thrift store...... `also dont forget sisterly love and go to clothing exchanges!!! Love you, congrats on CENTURY mark!

Hugs and kisses!

I got a pair of velour pants there and I wear them more than any other comfy pants that I have. When I got them, I said heck if they don't fit because they are only $5....the best $5 spent. They have a lot of cool clothes there..they just don't let you try anything on.

Right on Dale. I love it there. True they dont let you try stuff on but holding up to you helps and most of the time if it reaches from side to side it will fit. I would have been nekkid the past year it if hadnt been for them and susies deals.

WOW!!! Annette... Congrats on the weight loss. I've got 4 more lbs to lose before I hit the 100 mark and I'll also be below 200.
Just wanted to say HI. May hit some of those Escondido shops when I'm down there again in December. (((HUGS))
