Default 5 Year Anniversary

Hey,

My 5 year wedding anniversary is on November 18th. I will be almost one month post-op. We are going to go see the new Harry Potter movie and go out to dinner. This will be my first out to eat experience since getting surgery. Any suggestions on what to have or where to go???? I like everything so that is not a consideration....just not sure what I can have by then. Thanks

Japanese or Thai food. Plenty of soups and soft foods that is easy to digest, flavorful, and lots of nutrition. Just leave the rice and noodles out.

What stage will you be on then? Soft foods still? I'm not big on buffets but if you go to one with the variety you definately be able to find something you can eat. Happy Anniversary to you and your wife! Mine is November 29th. 9 years of wedded bliss! Well, it's been mostly good. We have a had a few rough spots but everyone does. Enjoy Your movie and your dinner!

hehe grats Jim. My one year is today. My husband asked me if I wanted something special and I was like sure! I will make you steak and mashed potatoes and a great dessert and I will have a cherry popsicle! Nice treat!

I think that Sharps program is way more strict than others. I am not supposed to have any solid foods until 11/27/2005. And I am not supposed to even have a protein supplement like a shake or creamed soup until tomorrow. That puts me @ almost 2 weeks out with no real sustenence.

Go somewhere you know has a lot of food choices for you. I'd suggest a baked potato that you can mash up (tell them to put butter and stuff on the side so that you can only use a little). As for food, maybe fish? I know I could eat seafood pretty early on, even in my "soft" foods phase. Fish breaks up nicely so it doesn't matter so much if it's pureed. Shrimp is my all time best surgery food, it never makes me sick and it tastes yummy Plus, now i can have a good excuse for spending all the money on it, 'cause it is better for me than some other stuff i could get cheaper.

I was thinking sushi.....I can have shashimi and miso soup. I really love rice but will have to do without. Thanks for the ideas.
