Talking Size 12!

Wow, I went to Mervyn's yesterday and I was trying on clothes. I tried 2 skirts, each in a size 12 and 14. The 14s were too large, and the 12s fit perfect in both of them. I was amazed so I grabbed a pair of Levi's 515 jeans in a 12 and THEY FIT!!! I almost cried in the dressing room, I don't know why size 12 is important, it just feels so good. They are tight but are wearable in public, I don't have to "suck it in" to button/zip them or anything!
I kept on rationalizing that maybe the jeans were messed up, maybe someone had tried them on and stretched them out, it just didn't seem right to me. I can remember being at the weight I am at now on the way up and I was having to unbotton my size 13 juniors pants all the time, they were too small. It just seems so weird, so unreal.

I am 3 1/2 months out now and I am feeling great. I have lost 62 lbs so far and I feel like I am doing great! I almost feel like a normal person. I am so happy that I had this surgery, I have no regrets at all. I suppose I should post some pictures of myself. I think I will have my husband take some of me tommorow and I will post them. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you guys how excited I am to be in a size 12!!

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Yay! Congratulations! I was shopping a few weeks ago and I bought a bunch of jeans that were 18's and I was pretty excited... One pair was a little tight, even though it was the same brand as the rest of them (I LOVE LEI's, they make the BEST plus sized jeans! without all that stretchy crap!) and so I couldn't figure that out... After I wore them around for a couple days, (they loosened up as I wore them) I forgot about how they felt smaller. THEN I was doing laundry, and I was separating out all my old size 20 jeans... as I checked the tag on the smallish pair, I realized someething. They were not 18's.. they were 16's! They had been mismarked on the hanger! I was pretty excited, haha

Smile Great Jobs

How great do you feel. I can tell you were smiling the entire time you were typing!!!. Congrats. 12 is a huge milestone...there is no 12W. You are solidly into "normal" sizes. Great Job!!
