Default Question to Post OP peeps!

Without toooooooo much complaining , I seem to have had my share of things happen to slow the process down for GPS. (one was a 6 week referral paperwork loss- grumblyrumble) Now I am to the point that I hope to be approved for surgery this or next week by my insurance (Pacificare) and I am very excited. It's almost surreal feeling!

My question is - It looks like they are booking surgery in November. I tried like heck to get your date Robin but it does not look like that is going to happen. . So here is my dilemma! I go on vacation for a week (basically vegging) November 19-26. If I have it done the first week of November (should that be available) do you think that is enough time for me to heal properly or do you think I should wait until Dec. right after vacation? At this point my judgement is clouded because I would go in NOW if they called me with a spot available. But I am wondering if being out of town on vacation is an issue or is that considered fairly safe by then barring no complications. I have to have my Gallbladder removed as well and I understand with Dr. C that means OPEN.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks

If I remember right, they recommend not leaving the area for a month just in case. Ask Dr. C. or Kelly.

otherwise you're going to be posting about how depressed you are about not being able to enjoy your trip because you can't eat, or you're tired, or sick.
