Default Whey Protein - YUUUCK!!!

So I went and bought this big jug of CHOCOLATE WHEY PROTEIN because some bodybuilder in the store said it was good. Well, I beg to differ. Ick!

Still, I would like to get a little protein supplement in until i get up fully on meats. Does anyone have an idea how I can make this chocolate whey protein more palatable? Blending with ice in blender is next try but what can I put in it??

The best stuff is called Amplify you can get it at GNC...now don't get me wrong, yes it's the absolute closest you can get to tasting like *real* chocolate milk...but there is still a little protein taste there. I've tried all the flavours, and chocolate is far superior than the other flavours.

The good thing about GNC is that they'll take back anything you don't like even if it is open.

Making protein drinks palatable? Is there such a thing? I haven't figured it out yet...I plug my nose while I drink it, I feel like i'm 5 again lol

I wouldn't recommend buying a big jug of anything until you find something you like. Many products make sample packs. Sell it to the bodybuilder who likes it so much! If you can't return it and still want to use it up, add some fruit and make a smoothie. Or mix in some instant coffee and have a cappucino flavor.

Default Vitamin Shoppe and GNC

They will let you return store brands if you just don't like it.

I tried a smoothie that my sister made while she was here on vacation, and it was delicious! She mixed Designer vanilla praline protien powder, frozen banana chunks, peanut butter and apple juice. I'll be looking forward to having more smoothies like that when I'm post op ::mmm::

I think any of that powder can be good if you doctor it up a bit.

I would throw mine in the blender with some peanut butter sometimes with a banna. I prefer the RTD shakes I have this thing with lumps they make me gag . The flavor also seems to be better. EAS makes a 15 gr protein that tastes almost as good as real choclate milk. Met-rx also makes good RTD shakes and that have 35 gr protein in them. I lived on 2 of those a day the first few weeks to be sure I got in a solid amount of protein.
