Hello Everyone,


I am trying to figure out whether to have the bypass or the lap band. I have been dieting for the past month in preperation for the procedure and I have lost 30 pounds. I generally lose weight pretty fast but if I don't diet it comes right back. I don't really drink alot of sweets which I know can be a problem for the lap band. It is so less invasive and can be removed if there is a complication in the future. What do you guys think. Can some people who have had the lap band give me some advice and some stats to help make my decision. I am going to have my consult in a couple of weeks and will definetey discuss this with the surgeon, but I want to be very informed for the consult. I have about 140 pounds to lose and I know that the weight loss % is better for the bypass but there are alot of negatives to consider. Thanks so much for your support and your advice.
