Default A little note to Hang in There!

Hi Everyone!
So I had my gastric bypass surgery on January 4th, 2010. Its now three months later and I went clothes shopping for the first time today. Without thinking, I went to the plus size section and preceded to fill up my basket. Only when I went to try things on, I noticed that my normal 2-3x were hanging off of me. Was there a mistake? a glitch? I checked the sizes. 2x shirts and 3x pants. Everything seemed right. Suddenly It dawned on me and I couldn't stop laughing. I lost weight - it happend!! For real and for true! I went back out and grabbed some other sizes. Turns out I am now a 16 in pants and x-large in shirts. I'm in the normal section, for the first time ever. There isn't anything that could make me go back, Not even a triple cheeseburger with fries!

A month ago I was sick to my stomach, Hoping the hell I was in would soon be over. Well, its over. I am finally getting this diet thing. Having the Surgery was worth it. No more regrets.

So when you think you can't take it anymore and nothing you eat stays down. Know that you can do it and by god - Think of all the CUTE CLOTHES you will soon be able to fit into! Your hell month is soon over - Believe me. Just take it day by day. Go slow - drink lots..

Its so worth it and I am so thankful for all of it.

Congratulations. What a nice achievement, I look forward to the day I can go out clothes shopping and actually buy something because I genuinely like it and not just because it fits and it looks ok.

I'm right there with you and it is so fun! We are the same size right now. I went shopping and bought this really colorful sweater that I would have never worn before. I can't wait to buy something other than black pants

Congratulations on your weight loss and happy shopping!!

If you are at 225 then you can't possibly fit into a 3x. Time to go to the little girls area and start shopping there.

Congrats!! You deserve it.
