Default Not all Spanx are created equal

I just thought I would throw this out there since I had no idea there were differences.

I bought 1 a few months pre op for a wedding we went to because it helped to hide my 5 bellies and some of my back fat.

The one I got was Spanx.com - Hide & Sleek Camis - Slimming Camis - Hide & Sleek Cami

Worked great at the time and I thought they did a really good job. But now that I have lost all this weight it's more of a floppy skin and stuff not laying where it's supposed to so I called their customer service, which was fabulous by the way. And she suggested I try this:
Spanx.com - Slim Cognito Camis - Slimming Camis - Slim Cognito Seamless Tank

Holy smokes what a difference! The Slim Cognito one holds everything in so much better. Granted it's pricey and breathing is optional but if you really want something that works this thing does!

I love my Spanx, they are the best. I may not wear it everyday, however I rarely go without it. They are the bomb

I don't say this often, but I used to work for them lol they are a great company, started by a very young woman who has created a big business!! And they ARE so much more comfortable than all those other support things. Feels like pantyhose!
I can't wait to need them again!! I haven't lost enough yet (and don't want that must tightness around my incision sites yet)

Hey, thanks for the great advice. My daughter swears by Spanx - she has 2 little kids, so suffers from the flabby belly post-babies but otherwise is in great shape. She just loves her Spanx and has suggested I get some too - I will once I'm in onderland to hold up my huge extra skin. I laugh when she shows me her flab (baby fat) and think "Oh, if only that was my problem!" I also tell her I'll be raiding her closet next year, so she better watch out!!! Thanks again!

I love my SPANX!!!!!

I have the flabby/slabby skin thing going on and they make a BIG difference.

I'm definitely going to try out the Cognito Cammies...

I also like SPANX because they add another 'layer' which helps keep me warm... I have such a problem with being cold...especially now heading into winter (and I live in Minnesota...brrrrrrrr!).

Spanx didn't really work for me. I guess it all depends on our body shape before and after surgery. I had enormous legs before wls and now I have these incredibly puffy, soft thighs. Where ever the Spanx ended, I puffed out alarmingly - not a sexy look. What does work, very well, is Secret Slimmers pantyhose. Wow. I love them. Seriously. They have a Spanx-like construction built in, but no sudden ending or rolling up at the thigh. For my daughter's wedding I wore an upper Spanx garment under my dress along with the Secret Slimmer, but it is the latter that made a real difference.

I have found some much cheaper alternatives. Kohls sells a brand called Flexees. I think you can get them at other stores as well, but Kohls is right down the street from me and they have lots of sales. I can wear one of their camis without a bra (never thought I'd see the day I could go braless)!

I also found these tank tops at BJs called Teez-Her. They are $12.99 and come in a bunch of different colors. They hold you in around the waist. I have some loose skin around my midriff and all of these products hold me in there.

My thighs are pitiful but don't look bad in pants. I guess it's a good thing I live in NY. We have about 2 days out of the year that are hot enough to wear shorts. I wore a bathing suit about 4 times last summer.
