Pregnancy Question - ThinnerTimes

Hi, I am strongly contemplating on having the procedure but I have a few questions. Has anyone gotten pregnant after gastric bypass and if so how did it affect your weight? Did you stay the same weight or gain more weight after the pregnancy?

I know quite a few that have had successful and healthy pregnancies after wls. I haven't had the surgery yet myself and I don't plan on having any more babies, but perhaps someone else here can give you a little more information.

Mary on here has a 4 month old baby boy and she got pregnant right around her one year. She is I think 7 lbs from her all time low weight. I know a couple people who have done it and it all depends on the person.

Thanks for the feedback you two. I've really enjoyed looking through this site and reading all the posts. Everyone seems so friendly and supportive, I really like that and I hope to one day be part of this as well.

My Dr. said that he would like his patients to wait for 2 years before getting pregnant, this way they are at goal and are able to eat a more balanced diet.

My friend had her healthy baby boy two years after surgery.
She is a size 5 only three months after his birth.
I think she said she gained 25 pounds and lost all of it.
