Blenders....magic bullet?
My blender is old, is making noises, and am looking for a new one. I've seen some posts where folks are using the Magic Bullet blender....
I am looking for something that will handle ice to slurpies, foods, etc...
Thoughts?? Thanks!

I like my little magic bullet. Just the perfect size for my smaller servings. Gotta watch it though. One second too long and you have pureed instead of chopped. But it's great for making soup and shakes.

I just bought the back to basics Smoothie Plus. It is quick and great for shakes and other things. You can make almost anything in it. We bought one for Stuart and Christina for their wedding. I can blend a smoothie in less than a minute. Costco has them on sale.

Oh yeah! I LOVE the vita mix blenders. They are really expensive but they work so good! When I was a teenager I worked at Baskin Robbins (not a good place to work when you have a weight problem by the way) and we used those. And I also worked at a smoothie/yogurt cafe and we used them there too. They are absolutely the best.
But I am thinking the magic bullet must be really good too, and even better since it does tiny portions?
What is the biggest portion a magic bullet can handle? Like if you wanted to mix up a 12 ounce smoothie or something?

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Is the Magic Bullet that kind they advertise on TV? If so, can you get it at a store or is it strictly mail-order?

I absolutely LOVE my magic bullet blender for shakes. I use it every single day. I haven't had great luck (nor have I experimented much) with using it for a lot of other things. But, it is perfect for shakes. I fill it to the same level with CRUSHED ice, add water (or coffee), a dallop of sour cream, my flax seeds (when I remember), and my protein powder. It blends up perfectly every time. It makes the same amount (16oz) and you can drink out of the cup you blend it in. I LOVE not having to wash a blender carafe...or guess which size cup my drink will fit in. The drinks fit perfectly in a starbucks grande cup, too. You can get them at Home shopping network, JR.com, and right now Macy's has them on sale for $49. Sometimes Kohl's carries them as well. Sorry to sound like an infomercial!

I've seen the Magic Bullet at Target and Walmart as well. I want a Vita-Mix. My husband and I were going to buy one at the county fair this year, but it was almost $400. So, I'll be getting one in October when we have the money for it.
