Default Classes?

I'm sorry, I don't know where else to put this post.....

Okay, I got my City of La Mesa newspaper today. I don't know what possessed me to look through it. Normally, I just throw it out without reading it. I happened to open it right to the classes section. This occured after my daughter and I were deciding on what she wanted to do for a fall sport. She had decided on cheerleading through NYS, but when I opened the paper, my eyes went directly to the youth sports. They had basic figure skating lessons! She's been in love with ice skating ever since watching the movie Ice Princess. So I'm going to sign her up.

Now, since I was already looking through the classes that were offered, I checked the adult classes. They have a basic figure skating class for adults too!! It's $88 for 4 weeks, classes are once a week. I'm going to sign up for the November classes and go from there. I was thinking of the September ones, but I'm having my surgery in Sept (I hope). I was thinking that this would be good exercise for me. I used to take figure skating lessons oh so long ago.

Anywho the point of this post was to ask if anyone wanted to try it with me. I can give you the information, or you can go to http://www.cityoflamesa.com for more information.

Oh I wished I lived there! I just went ice skating 2 weeks ago for the first time and I loved it! The closest skating rink to where I live is 2 hours. I out skating my kids. I kept saying I'll just go around one more time! Skate your heart out for me!

Sound great. I think you should totally go for it. I never learned how to skate so I wouldn't dare. Be sure to be careful right after surgery getting on the ice. I think that is a great place though to get your exercise in. I would love to see pictures of you ice skating. I have only seen people ice skate in the movies. Sad I know. Hopefully all that will change soon. Well keep us updated on how the classes go.

As a child (and even now) i was excelent on a pair of skates. I have always dreamed of ice skating, but never have had the chance too do so. I have always had a passion for the ice, the floor (for disco and skates LOL) for real now!!!
