Default Seen for the 1st Time

No one at my job knows I had surgery. They just know I am out on medical leave of absence.

My boss seen me for the 1st time today since my surgery and although I've only lost 19 lbs she was shocked. She spotted the missing weight right away.

It's nice to know the loss is showing. That makes up for the slow moving scale, which by the way, is stalled again.

Oooh isn't that so exciting Peckkale!
I still haven't been seen by anybody but our neighborhood friends. My old co-workers still haven't seen me (I just stopped working in March to finish school and get the surgery, my boss said no time off) So are you going to tell anyone or just make everyone wonder what your "secret" diet is? That might be fun, huh!
Anyway, I am so happy for you, and I feel your pain on the stall thing. Congrats, Peckkale!! I bet you look good!

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

At the rate I'm going (1 - 2 lbs a week) I'll be back at work and being seen every day so the loss won't show until about 40 lbs are gone. I'm expecting the questions will start about then.

Yeah, they'll notice then for sure. What are you going to say?

They'll notice, especially if you need to wear your pre-op clothes
And keep up the good work. You'll continue to lose as long as you follow the rules, h2o, protein and exercise!

I'm not sure what I'll tell them.

Last year when I first embarked on the journey (Fighting with my PCP) not a one of them supported me. They would tell me, "You don't need surgery, You can do it yourself if you only try."....or......."if you really wanted to lose weight."

I wear a uniform so at some point in time it's going to become to big for me......Unless I stay up on it and alter it as it becomes baggy.

They will notice when you have lunch. I choose not to tell everyone at my work, and the one's that didn't know wondered why I didn't eat that much anymore. I think everyone knows now, because some people that I work with have BIG mouths.

Oh I see how they are! LOL I don't think I would have shared it with them either.

I hope you come up with something good.
