Wink I still get surprised!

Yesturday morning started out kind of crazy. We had to take our cat to the vet for her shots and bath. Well we got her in her box and she broke out of it and ran behind my computer. I had to move everything to get her out and it made us late because it was already 8:30 and my daughter had to be at dance class by 9am. We were stressing and trying to get out the door. I was pretty angry and all of a sudden I heard a really loud Whistle. I turned around and looked and some guy in a raised up Pick Up was hanging out of his window Whistling at me. I took another look just to make sure and smiled to myself.
This guy as innocent as it was had just made my miserable morning into a bright spot. I still get surprised when it happens and I have to remeber I'm not the fat chick anymore.

That is awesome! I had something similar happen to me the other day. I was on my way to a group meeting that I go to. I was feeling kind of down because I hadn't lost any weight for almost a week and I know I am being watched by the other members of this group pretty carefully. When I talked to them about having the surgery they were pretty negative about it. So, now that I have had it I know they will be watching to see how successful I am. Anyway, I was feeling pretty down about no weight loss, whether or not to talk about it at group, feeling like I have a lost a friend over the surgery and am learing to adjusting to not using food to stuff these uncomfortable emotions. Anyway, I stopped to buy a present for my granddaughter at Toys R Us and when I checked out the girl said, "You're a teacher, aren't you?" I said, "Yes." And then she went on to tell me how I was her sister's favorite teacher. That was way cool and one of the absolute best things to hear!
When I got to where my group meeting was, I got out of my car and started walking toward the building and this strange guy who had been removing scaffolding from the building said, " Hi! How are you doing?" I smiled and said hi back and asked him how he was. He said, "Great!" I mentioned that it didn't look too great to be working out in the heat and he said, "Well, it's supposed to help me lose weight!" I said, "Maybe I should be out working in it then." And he said, "Nah - you look great just the way you are!" I just smiled and said, "That's so sweet!" By then I was at the building and went in. Anyway, sometimes the universe has an incredible way of taking care of us!!!!!!!

Veronica,
That is so true we often get so wrapped up in our lives we need the little things to help us get along.

I've been "the fat chick" for so long, I wonder if I'll ever get over that personal image. I think it's great that you got whistled at. It's got to be so thrilling.

Alleuson,
I prefer the occassional whistle to the rude catcalls I get. I am looking for ward to my high school reunion in a few weeks. My last two I was the fat chick. Now I am almost at my high school weight.

I think that's awesome and it just proves to us, that we're not the person we once were

The only problem I have now with it, is that people that pass my boyfriend and I and actually are rude and ask outloud so we can hear...."What the *beep* does she see in him" People are unbelievable....it makes me sick
