Thumbs up A Good Summer Read...

Totally off the subject of weight... I need a FANTASTIC book to reak this summer. My kids are finally getting old enough that they might actually let me get in a few chapters. Please tell me the title of your FAVORITE book.... I like everything!!

Have you read the Da Vinci Code? It is a page turner! I read mostly mysteries and action books. If you like mysteries, anything by Anne Perry. They take place in Victorian England. Or current era is Patricia Cornwell. Or Tami Hoag. If you like funny and easy reading try Janet Evanovich-read from her first one on. They are really funny.

My favorite is-Forever Amber by Kathleen Windsor (thats how I got my name)
Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtizel and Bitch:In Praise of Difficult Women and Now, More, and Again also by Elizabeth Wurtizel (I love her). Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell it never gets old and also the sequel Scarlett. I also just finish The Dirt The Story of Motley Crue but a warning on that there are some pretty depraved things in it. Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiddis is what I'm working on now. What kinda stuff do you like to read? I can give better suggestions that way. I average a book a week and I like everything so let me know.

Oh gosh, I like everything from horror/mystery to love, to sci-fi. I used to read a book a week, but since I had kids I have maybe managed a couple of books a year. It gets to the point that when I am reading I have to go back and re-read chapters because it has been so long since the last time I had a chance to read. BUT, my daughter is now 7 and my son is 4 1/2 (see the little darlings below) so when they are entertaining themselves I have a chance to have some me time....would love to get back into reading.... I also need to catch up on my scrapbooking, that is also 5 years behind.

Default Books

Summer sisters by Judy Bloom and the Street Lawyer by John Grissom are some of my favorites. Anything by Dean Kootnz (sp) is good!

Fiction (Horror) = Desperation by Stephen King (totally freaky & scary!)
Fiction = Back Roads by Tawni O'Dell (disturbing but humorous)

Lisa Gardner is also a good suspense author.

I have dozens more, but I'll stop here.

Happy summer reading!

Anything by Nicolas Sparks. I'm not a big romance reader, but his books are outstanding! A Bend in the Road is by far my favorite.

I thought I was the only person who had actually read "Forever Amber". My mother had hidden the book away in a closet and the teenage me found it and read it. Some of my first lessons in sex and love were from that book. Anyway, I'm a James Patterson lover, now reading the new Harry Potter. I could go on and on about books.

I'm a romance freak.

My favorite: "Wishes" by Jude Deveraux. A historical romance about a larger size woman. It's cute!

For fun: Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich
One for the money
Two for the dough
Three to get deadly
Four to score
High Five....
all the way up to eleven.
Hilarious!!!!
